Zur Zeit liegt das Paradies für Pop-Up Liebhaber in der Bretagne. Denn dort läuft gerade die wundervolle und zauberhafte Ausstellung ‚Oh Pop-Up – de Brest à Morlaix‘, die von Julien Laparade von dem französischen Blog ‚Oh Pop-Up‘ kuratiert wird.

Zu sehen ist eine wirklich beeindruckende Auswahl verschiedener Pop-Up Bücher aus aller Welt, sortiert nach den Themen:

Und ich darf mit Stolz verkünden, dass mein Pop-Up Buch ‚Circus Zingaro‚ dort zu sehen ist!

Da das Buch noch unveröffentlicht ist, gibt es nur ein einziges Exemplar, das nun in Frankreich ausgestellt wird.

Da sich die Ausstellung zeitlich mit der Ausstellung hier in Münster überschnitten hat, konnte mein Zirkus leider erst mit etwas Verspätung auf die Reise gehen, daher sieht man im Video nur Fotos davon. Inzwischen dürften aber die Originale zu sehen sein.

Schon im letzten Frühjahr gab es in Brest ein ganz fantastisches Pop-Up Schaufenster:

Es wäre wirklich schön, wenn ich die Ausstellung in Brest, die übrigens noch bis Ende Februar 2013 läuft, selbst besuchen und live sehen könnte! Vielleicht klappt das ja noch.

Ich freue mich jedenfalls wie blöd, dass mein Zirkus zwischen so vielen tollen und beeindruckenden Büchen stehen darf!

And I’m really proud to say that my pop-up book ‚Circus Zingaro‘ is shown there! Since it is unpublished for now, there only exists this one handmade edition of the book. In the video you can only see photos of the book, because the exhibition overlapped with the one we had here in Münster. But now the original pages are shown there. 

I would really like to visit the exhibition myself (it runs until the end of february 2013), so let’s hope it will work out. 

Anyway, I’m so happy to be part of the exhibition and that my book is standing between so many wonderful books!
